Change
Sometimes, change is everything.
Entry update!
Date : Monday, October 26, 2009
Hey everyone!
Just a small update about what I've been up to for the past week :)
It's pretty random ;D

Spot the unique tomato!
Sharon's prank on the Korean Lady :D
(inside joke)

As I've said earlier, I made a visit to the Winston Churchill School as Khunsha has arranged :)
It was pretty fun.
I must say however, that these schools really do have the mean girls like we see in the movies.
Met a few nice and warm people.
The teachers are well good, they're much more active than our Malaysian teachers :)

In the Science Lab.

With Khunsha, Rachel Pryke, Gemma and Polly (they're twins by the way!)

The girls and Lawrence.

During ICT lessons.

My visitor pass :)

Khunsha, Amy and Callie.

Meet Amy Oliver.

My stay at Nashmia's house was well fun!
We sang and played cards and ate a lot :) It was really nice to meet the whole family.
And what's better is that we got to speak Urdu with everyone.
Sharon and I are the only ones in our family who can, so it's nice to finally be able to practice it!
And if you can speak Urdu, you can speak Hindi, and a little bit of Punjabi :D
Amazing init? What an advantage!

Meet Siraj Zubair.

Funniest guy ever :)

He's well lovely :D

Goodbye, Autumn.

The clocks have officially changed :)
I got to experience 1am twice in my life for the first time!
Well who said we can never turn back time? :D
I totally disagree because I did! :)
Now United Kingdom is 8 hours behind Malaysian timing ;D

Sharon!

Candid.

Being bugged while texting!

Pretty init?

We headed to Hillsong Church and it was well amazing as always! :)
They had the Christening of the babies :D
How adorable!

Pastor Delfin :)

Pastor Christina :)
She was well amazing!

It was a pretty good week, had lots of fun!
I have quite a number of activities lined up.
I need a rest! :)

Jesus made my day! || 2:43 AM

Terrific Tuesday!
Date : Wednesday, October 21, 2009
I was really excited about today as I was going to meet Khunsha!
Finally, after all this waiting, I did! :)
We spent some time at the Library in the University of Surrey (:
It was well good and hilarious as always.
These girls never fail to make me laugh.
My tummy hurts from laughing each day!

We were hungry so we went to get some pizza (:
Our Malaysian pizzas are much yummier, I have to say.

Nash talking to the cafeteria lady.
We had a pretty good conversation.
She was telling us about how she ran away from home to get married.
And how she stayed for a month with her husband before getting married without her parents finding out :)
She met her husband who happens to be a Brit at a 5-star hotel and he's a nuclear engineer! Wow init?
She was well hilarious and her stories were entertaining!

Nashmia : So when will you be going to the 5-star hotel again?
Cafeteria Lady : We don't need to anymore. Now we have the kitchen table.

HAHAHAHA. That was well hilarious! All of us burst out laughing instantly! :)

Sharon and her Diet Coke once more.

Third floor of the library.

Nashmia Zubair in action :)

The Zubairs and The Thangarajs.

Rachel, Sharon, Khunsha and Nashmia (:

Raj! HAHAHA (inside joke)
We don't even know his name by the way.
This is all thanks to Khunsha's crazy conversing skills and boredom.
I'm too lazy to tell you how we got here but it was funny! :)

Meet Khunsha Zubair (:

That's it for the day :D
I'm staying over at Nash's and Khunsh's place on Thursday night and following Khunsh to school the next morning. Well excited yet nervous!
Apparrently her school is having an International Students Day or something where you can bring your friend from any part of the world to school. How amazing init! :)
Take care and good day!

A Day At London
Date : Tuesday, October 20, 2009
Hello (:
On Monday, Nashmia alongside Sharon and I went to London.
Just to have a look and have dinner :)
We had a few scary experiences but a picture says a thousand words.
So let it do the talking for you :)

Ticket Counter
Got my train pass and then we left :)

That's Nashmia.
A little bit of introduction about this girl :)
She's 19, course mate of Sharon's.
Born in Pakistan but has lived in United Kingdom for 17 years now.
Extremely generous and funny.
Kindest person you'll meet in United Kingdom, undoubtedly.

Getting something to eat before we leave.

Jokers :)

Cool init?

They'll never get enough of their adventures!

It's really busy init?

ATM Machines for people on the go, in the train station.

It's really steep.
The rule is that everyone has to stand on the right side.
The left side is for people to overtake and if they're in a hurry.

Much busier than it looks!

Sun's going down.

Double decker buses :)

Looks like the Titanic init?

Soon after, we headed to Selfridges.
It's a shopping complex for the rich!
Everything here is branded and expensive and beautiful! :)

Sarah if you came with me, you'd kneel down in front of the bags and stuff that I saw.

My girls back home would love this place!

Spot Nash.

*melts*

Chocolates!

Purely edible, mind you.

Yes, those are candies!

Edible edible edible :D

Jelly beans!

Chocolate mixer! *mouth waters*

A thousand pound worth cake! (around RM 6000)

The rich dining.

Yummy init?

:) Edible.

I need to know if the owner of this place is single! LOL

I wish!

:D

Yours truly.

reminds me of Elly's pm - e for eat :)

love love loveee her :)

sisters roll through life together ;)

yeah, you got that right!

messing.

absolutely lovely.

nash! :D :)

i wish i was rich :D

these freshies :P

much better init :P

cool candid shot :)

that guy reminds me of Imran Khan! :) AMPLIFIERRR <3

100 years and counting :D

Selfridges at night :D beautiful init!

the Brits can't live without their coffee.
every single time you enter a starbucks coffee store you'd better be prepared to queue!

wastemen! ahahah :D

managed to get a picture before the security guard approached me.

nash loves her chocolates!

ferrero rocher is love! :D

*meltsss*

Then we entered this cool store where all the make up here looks like ice-cream and it looks almost edible! :)
Truly amazing, eye candy! :D

Looking like lollipops!

Like cupcakes or pies :)

Like chocolates!

Looks edible right :)

Cool beauty bar :D

absolutely well said.

Cool init? It's glitter make up!

Those are fragrances :)

Nash looks at her.

And then at the camera!

I swear a 5 year old would do the same!

Soon after walking about, we headed for dinner to Tayyab's at Whitechapel.
That place is very dangerous as people have been knived over there and the crime rate is pretty high.
Imagine being at that type of place at 8pm or 9pm! Well scary!
When we were walking to Tayyab's there were a few weirdos following us..
And in the train there was this super scary guy that kept coming super close to us everytime we moved away!
Gosh it's a horrible place to be at for 3 girls.
God put his angels around us though, we went safely and arrived home safely as well.
Thanks to Sara Zubair (Nash's sister) for sending us home at that hour :)

Cool.

Cooler.

Coolest :)

Sharon and Nashmia.

Jokers! :)

Sharon!

Candid.

In United Kingdom, people mostly drink Diet Coke instead of the regular ones.
It's pretty much a rip off though as the bottles are smaller than our Malaysian ones! :)

Tasted so yummy, I want some more! :(

Whining about how much food Nash and I left for her to finish :)

A night to remember.

Wonderful people.

I forgot to mention but Nashmia pulled some strings and got us to the VIP Section!
Beat that :D

Tayyab's is a very famous Pakistani restaurant by the way.
Everybody knows the place and everyone dines there! The queues can even be 45 minutes long and people still wait!

I guess you get the picture of how wonderful it was to be at the VIP Section :)

Table setting.
A waiter stands by your table the whole time you're eating (not invading your space) in case you need anything at all.
That's what I call VIP Section yo! :)

Fighting to pay the bill!

Seriously they both were fighting mad!

Gulfi! A must have.

Bad picture of savouring a very yummy gulfi.

Candid :D

Nashmia Zubair, everyone.

Well gorgeous, isn't she?

Failed attempt to annoy Nash.

Showing off the dimples! :)

Basically it was a long but extremely wonderful day.
Had a terrific time with Nashmia and Sharon :)
I'm so attached to Nashmia, Khunsha and of course Sharon that I know for sure it's going to hurt me when I go back to Malaysia.
I'm already so comfortable with the U.K. and everything is falling into place.
It's going to hurt to go home.
Because I feel pretty much at home here with them :)

Love you Sharon, Nash and Khunsh!
You guys colour my days here with colours that I never knew existed.
Cheers!

Jesus made my day! || 10:19 PM

Superb Sunday :)
Date : Sunday, October 18, 2009
Hello once more!
Yesterday, Sharon and I went to two churches.
One of it was Guildford Park Church which we attended in the morning and the other was Hillsong Church at Leatherhead Theatre, London.
It was amazing!

Here are a few pictures that I captured with my camera.
We were really on the go, so forgive the poor angles :)

Autumn will be leaving soon :)

How many trees like these can you find in Malaysia?
Healthy, huge and beautiful :)

Railway tracks :)

We love men in their uniforms, don't we? ;)
Which reminds me, men in uniforms (firemen, policemen, you name it!) here are amazingly handsome!
Really :)

Garage

A bus stop :)
In the United Kingdom, busses are strictly only allowed to stop at bus stops.
What's better is they obey the rules!

The kids at Guildford Park Church.
Really funny and witty they are!

Creative init?

Random coffee bar.

An average Brit's properties :)

Berries ready to be eaten :)

The roads are right in front of the houses. I mean main roads by the way.

YMCA (reminds you of the song init? no?)

Pretty!

Especially love this one!

Imagine how misleading the traffic lights could be. Amazing!

Practically their local shopping centre.
Personally, Sunway Pyramid is much nicer, really.

Nice clothes, for real cheap prices!
No doubt that it's a Mad House! :)

This is the High Road.
Because it goes uphill but it can't be seen in this picture.

Oh the birds here aren't scared of you at all!
It's amazing they don't fly away when you sit beside 'em :)

Why did the bird cross the road?

Fat aren't they? :) Double the size of our Malaysian birds.

Everybody's gearing up for winter! :)

This was how close I was standing to this bird.
It did not fly away!
Our Malaysian birds proven to be cowards, hahah!
Kidding, kidding :)

Firetruck rushing! Spot it :)

The ultimate place to dine :) Really yummy!

Informative, don't you think?

Feasting on a little piece of bread :)

Pricey but also really yummy ;)

Mind the hand, check out the advertisement 'Nibbles'!
It's some kind of food and I really don't think that rabbit lures me one bit.

Multiple seating areas all around the mall for the shoppers who have shopped until they've dropped ;)

Bus station, extremely organised and punctual, I must say.

Stumbled along a blood trail.
The person who was bleeding appeared to be going in a zic-zac movement.

Passport picture machines. Fast :)

Allocated area for the little ones to have their share of fun.

Each bus comes into its allocated parking lot to get the passengers.

Something new :)

Walkway into a house.

Sharon.

Yours truly.

Mostly everywhere you go there'll be leaves under your feet.

Take 1.

Take 2. Although I really don't see the difference.

Am I not a fantastic photographer?

Horton-Hears-A-Who! Remember?
Sharon says we can catch Hay Fever if the pollen enters our body through our eyes or nose or mouth!

Then we went back to a restaurant bar to get to Hillsong in Chris' car.

The elder sister.

Sharon.

Lovely.

A favourite spot for the University of Surrey students.
Extremely reasonable rates.

And finally, we arrived at Hillsong Church.
This was pretty much the best place I've been to in the whole of England thus far.
I felt really, really at home over here.
The people were so friendly and amazing, loving and caring, unlike the others that I have come accross.
It was truly amazing!

Loving this lots.

Their resource centre.

An advertisement for an upcoming conference for women :)

Coffee fellowship.

The information counter.

There's free coffee and tea both before and after the service :)

A poster.

Two beautiful ushers at the door.

A television outside, reminded me a lot of City Harvest Church KL.

Sharon and Fatamata :)

Sharon and F.A. (in short)

She's a really wonderful person.

One of their issues. That's the pastor on the cover :)

Just like CHC init?

On the wall, still wondering how they did that.

A quarter of a quarter of a quarter of the crowd :)

Praise and worship team! :)

It was well amazing! What is Boys Like Girls and The All American Rejects next to these guys?

Stairway to the theatre.

After the service, everyone enjoying the fellowship.

Their buletin.
Truly a welcome home for me, it was really amazing!
All this time I was in England and this is the first time that I've felt so at home! :)

Connect Groups are just Cell Groups :)

How to get there and when to get there :)

The giving envelope :)

It was truly amazing.
I am lost for words, I really am.
I know that it is really God's will that I attended this service.
Jesus spoke to me in volumes.
I know for sure now that I have a purpose and I'm here for a reason.
This was a great experience for me as I've always wanted to go to a Hillsong Church.
Pastor's message was awesome and it was really meaningful.

Hillsong Church had their EMERGE last month, how unfortunate that I could not attend!
And I also can't attend it in Malaysia :(
Friends, I just want to challenge you to go for EMERGE at City Harvest Church KL this year.
EMERGE is a life-changing programme/convention held each year for everyone to attend!
For more details, do approach Liew Sher Mun (for those who know him) and others can approach me :)
Problems? Disappointment? Doubts? Anger? Jealousy? Health issues?
You name it, God will take it all away.

The question is now ;
Are you willing to Let Go and Let GOD?

I guarantee you that you will go home filled with contentment.

It's your call though, the ball is in your court.

Till then, take care!
Good day :)

Pictures have arrived, finally.
Date : Saturday, October 17, 2009
Hello everyone :)
I'm back, this time with pictures!
I guess I left my lazy side back in Malaysia afterall :D
So here it goes, I'll let the pictures do the talking :)

Grandma and I.

Mum, Thomas and I.

The brother, Daniel.

Cutest bru in the world (:

Here we go again! :D

Thomas.

Mum! :)

Grandma, Mum, Daniel and I.

Again!

We just had to! :P

After that, we bid goodbye and I left to board the plane! :)

Gate T18.

Random shot. This headrest can be bended according to your own preference when you are sleeping.

Buckle up!

Compartments for the hand luggages!

Up, up and away!

Thousands of feet in the air!

Meals, served hot and nice.
Pretty delicious actually, not so bad :)

Boredom.

Being adventurous!

Your waste goes out of the plane! :O

Small init?

Beautiful.

I'm on Cloud 9!

There you go :)

Clouds :D

Little bit more of the Sun.

Like you've never seen it before.

Through the window :D

Mind the scratches on the window.

Again.

And again.

God's wonderful creation.

At its best.

I did warn you that a 13 hour flight may cause temporary insanity.

Business class. Really, really comfortable!

My class. LOL

Random!

Nothing that I can see.

Nothing that can see me, either.

Uncle Satwant fetched me from the airport. Reached his place at 1am or so.
Was pretty tired so he showed me my room and we all settled in.
I spent the night at his place.
Let me show you how beautiful it is :)

The backyard.

Dining in the outdoors if you'd like.

Study room or dining room, your call.

TV room.

Living room.

Unfortunately I cannot really picture how beautiful the house really is through my pictures as I was in a hurry and it simply isn't possible. But trust me when I say, it is very beautiful.
The next afternoon, he dropped me off at Uncle Immi and Aunty Vimi's place.

I had something to eat over there and then they dropped me off at Sharon's.
The sights were beautiful, I must say.
The cops here are very active and they really do pull people aside, just like you see in the movies. The ambulances too are very punctual and active.
If the person is really ill and serious, there's even people on bicycles and motorbikes to get the medicine to
them. Wow!
16 years of my life in Malaysia and I've never seen a cop pull someone over who is kneeling down with their hands above their heads. Here, in United Kingdom, I finally see it.

Sharon's place.

A glimpse of Autumn for you.

I went to town with Sharon today but I did not take any pictures as my hands were full after buying the groceries.
I got my bus pass though so I can travel on the bus for free.
That's cool, init?
Will be going to town today once more and I guess this time I'll be able to capture some images.
Till then, take care.
Cheers!

Beginning of an English Journey
Date : Friday, October 16, 2009
Hey everyone!

Greetings from the United Kingdom :)

Since I can't be repeating my experience constantly to my loved ones, I might as well publish it on my blog :)
This way I won't forget what I've learnt as well :D

Let's start, I had a pretty good flight I would say :)
Guess what? The lady on the intercom actually sneezed when she made an announcement!
It was such a LOL moment but I was the only one who laughed out loud, the rest were silent.
Gosh, the British humour is so different! So I basically went hahahah..haha..ha. LOL

Oh the highlight of my flight was that I managed to sneak into the Business Class :)
It was lovely! I caught a wink or two and then headed back before I could get caught ;)
Well what can I say? A 13 hour flight may temporarily distort your sanity :)
The lady next to me, Melody Ronson owns a farm in Australia.
She was very nice, funny and entertaining. Hope she has a good tour around Europe! (:

I got off and Uncle Satwant took me back to his place.
He has a lovely place and a beautiful garden in the backyard. There's also a stream behind his house which I must say is really, really breath-taking :) Beautiful place, that's for sure.
I spent the night there and left for Uncle Immi's in the morning :)
Met his two beautiful angels, Hannan and Aleina and they all sent me to Sharon's place :D
Which is where I am now :)

It's pretty cold here and the leaves are all falling. Autumn! (:
It's a lovely sight though and everything is cool and nice.
Believe or not, I have not sweat at all since I've reached here and that's one of the best things!
If Malaysia was like this we would not have any body odour problems in the busses. LOL
And I think I really might get fairer during my stay here! :D
(Go ahead and laugh Sarah, Mabel and Michelle, but it might just be true!)

I feel pretty English now because I'm eating a peach without peeling it or whatever :D
That's cool innit :P
There you go, a little bit of the slang for you! :D

Off I go then, cheers!
Pictures will come on much later when I've settled down (and stop being lazy!)
Dios!

Get a load of me, get a load of you
Walkin' down the street, and I hardly know you
It's just like we were meant to be

Holding hands with you when we're out at night
Got a girlfriend, you say it isn't right
And I've got someone waiting too

What if this is just the beginning
We're already there, and we're gonna go swimming

Why can't I breathe whenever I think about you
Why can't I speak whenever I talk about you
It's inevitable, it's a fact that we're gonna get down to it
So tell me
Why can't I breathe whenever I think about you

Isn't this the best part of breakin' up
Finding someone else you can't get enough of
Someone who wants to be with you too

It's an itch we know we are gonna scratch
Gonna take a while for this egg to hatch
But wouldn't it be beautiful

High enough for you to make me wonder
Where it's goin'
High enough for you to pull me under
Somethin's growin'
out of this that we can control
Baby I am dyin'
